What is The Great Salt Lake Yoga Fest?
-
A platform to share yogic talents and resources at an affordable price for beginners and advanced practitioners. Some of the master presenters/teachers are local and some have come from out of state. For the low fee of $25 one can access more than 30 yoga classes, seminars, and workshops as well as enjoy up-to ten different music bands. This is truly revolutionary in a time when passes to similar events in other cities begin at $300. We believe that Yoga is for everybody.
-

How can I help to promote the event, keep the prices low, and save the organizers (none of whom are taking a penny) time, energy and money?
-
- "Seva" is a yogic term which means giving selflessly to help other living beings. At present anyone can do 'seva' by putting up 'Great Salt Lake Yoga Fest' posters in their neighborhood and at work to let everyone know about the event.
- We'd especially like to reach smaller & mid sized Utah towns. Contact us by email at utahkrishnas@gmail.com, give us your postal address and an estimate of the number of posters you can place (bagelries, coffee shops, lunch counters, some grocery or whole foods stores, restaurants), and we'll send those right out to you.
- "Green Yogi" - This will help mother earth by saving lot of gas and travel.

Preregister to have a VIP ticket waiting for you at the gate. This will give you priority entrance at the classes of your choice. Like at the airport business class boards first.
Also we have even more great yoga teachers who want to come from out of state and pay their own way as seva, but we need to see good numbers in the preregistration before we give them the green light.Schedule

- Leraine Horstmanshoff and her Kirtan Band
Music has always been an integral part of Leraine’s life. With a trunk load of instruments from guitar to didgeridoo, Leraine expresses her inner light through music. With the release of the CD “Harmony” Leraine embarks on a new and powerful path… music as spiritual practice. Her voice has grown rich and full and now she is ready to share her innate and Newabundant musical mastery to bring people together to raise consciousness on the planet.
One translation for Kirtan (also knows as Bhakti Yoga) is “to celebrate in song.” This celebration is brought to life and shared brilliantly through the easeful, gracious and proficient musical offerings of Leraine Horstmanshoff.
Leraine effortlessly connects to each instrument that she brings into play and the sweet vibration of love is easily accessed through the interplay of call and response with the audience. When we repeat these mantra’s and prayers we call the things we most want to us. By combining the vibrations of music, love, appreciation and connection the energy rises and settles sweetly into the core of our beings. Leraine has quickly become a master of this chanting style and leads each group fluently along the sound currents which connect us to the divine spirit that lives and flows in all things.

- We'd especially like to reach smaller & mid sized Utah towns. Contact us by email at greatslcyogafest@gmail.com, give us your postal address and an estimate of the number of posters you can place (bagelries, coffee shops, lunch counters, some grocery or whole foods stores, restaurants), and we'll send those right out to you.
